Join the fight for a hospital in Yanchep!

The City of Wanneroo is one of the fastest growing regions in Australia, with more than 200,000 new residents expected over the next 20 years.

Put simply, the current health facilities are not meeting the demand of this rapidly growing population.

The need for a hospital in Yanchep has already been identified through the State Planning Framework and the Yanchep-Two Rocks District Structure Plan — however, there is currently no government commitment to planning and delivering.

Serious pressure continues to mount on Joondalup Health Campus, as the hospital does its best to cope with an ever growing population. As our northern suburbs continue to grow, the 60km round trip for ambulances risks patients not reaching critical care within the 'golden hour'.

Ambulance ramping remains a significant problem, with the worst September ever on record in 2024 reaching close to 6,000 hours across WA. Locally, Joondalup Health Campus just reached its worst ramping level of over 800 hours!
